So, you guys know I was supposed to be meeting P & J tonight?
Originally we were going to meet at 4, but then it turned out P had to work late. Which was fine, I just said I'd hang out with my friends for a bit and then see them later. So this afternoon I went up to London, met up with my flatmate L and her bf. Got my keys to our new house :) Then we went off, had lunch at Yo! Sushi (which was all kinds of awesome), went and had a coffee. It was fun, good to catch up.
At about 6, L and her bf went back to his house. My iPhone battery was down to about 10% at this point, so I rang J to see what the plan was and when he wanted to meet, because I knew my phone wouldn't last much longer and he wouldn't be able to get old of me.
...The dude is useless, lol. Also, really quiet on the phone, and as I was in a train station (I spent about four hours today hanging out at Kings Cross, because I'm just that cool) I could barely hear a word he was saying. Basically, he said he didn't know whether P could make it, so wasn't sure if we could meet up... I was not impressed, lol. I texted P, she said she didn't know if she could make it, I said I wasn't sure what to do though and phone was nearly dead but I didn't really want to go home, she said to not go home and meet up with J anyway and she'd try to make it after work.
Rang J again... several times, in fact - he's hard to get hold of. At this point my phone was on 2% battery, and there is no 1% - it goes from 2% to off. He still didn't make a descision and my phone died. I spent about fifteen minutes searching for a phone box - which was actually pretty exciting, I've never had to use a phone box before! - rang him twice more, didn't pick up.
At this point I was pretty fed up, so I got the tube back to Paddington. I rang him once more, he finally answered, mumbled some more... Basically upshot was, he didn't think P could make it, so probs best to arrange some other time. I got the train home. :(
Ironically, the other day - while my friends were being disorganised - I was saying to him that trying to organise them was like trying to herd cats. I don't think that they're the only people that metaphor applies to :P
I'm not really annoyed - it's no ones fault, after all, P can't help when she has to work - and as I had to go to London anyway it wasn't a wasted trip, but I was looking forward to it... But since I've got home and plugged my phone in, they've both texted saying sorry we couldn't meet up and hopefully can do it some other time. So it's ok :) And I'm moving to London in a fortnight, so once I'm there it's not such a disaster if things fall through at the last minute! I won't have to hang around a train station like a loner or be searching for a phonebox - I can just stay at my house :)
I feel:
disappointed
