Sign-ups for Summer Burn 2011 have opened!!

Basically: You sign up for Summer Burn and create two CDs of music you enjoy listening to in the summer. You get sent two addresses of two other people who have signed up and send them your CDs. In return, they send you their CDs. It is awesome :D One of the CDs I got last year was really good, and the other was pretty cool too :D It's a great way to get introduced to music you might not have heard otherwise, and people all around the world do it :)

Okay so the other day I downloaded the new MCR album. I only got around to proporly listening to it today, though.

It is epic. I've had it on repeat all day.

It's a concept album (and right away, that's pretty much guaranteed to make me obsessed... lol), set in a dystopian 2019 (and that's a second way to make me obsessed, dystopian futures make the best stories <3 Why do you think I love Dollhouse so much?). It's about the Killjoys (played by MCR) who're a gang rebelling against Better Living Industries (or BL/ind) who control the world (I think? It's set around "Battery City", which BL/ind definitely control, and the zones outside the city suffer from severe acid rain and radiation and I don't think there's anyone left further out).

ANYWAY.

They've also made a BL/ind website, and on youtube there is a series of broadcasts that are shown on the TV in Battery City. Oh, and this music video continues the story from the one above. :)

So anyway, I'm completely geeking-out over the Killjoys xD I'm currently making a batch of icons (see the icon for this post), which is always proof I've fallen into obsessive-love with something!!

Speaking of icons, did LJ randomly give everyone more icon space? Or did someone gift me icon space and I just didn't notice? (I'm very sorry if that's the case!!) It's just I went to upload some Killjoy icons, and I KNOW I'd maxed-out my icon space before but now I've got, like, five gaps. I am confused.
