A/N: This is for fanfic100 using prompt 002. Middles. And it's AU, although I think the blog would have had a much happier ending if this had happened ;)

Stuck In The Middle

Penny had felt guilty about it at first.

On the one hand, she had Captain Hammer; sweet and brave and really good-looking. He really cared about her, and now they were dating – she should be happy with him.

But then there was Billy: Billy, who was cute and shy and so clearly head-over-heels in love with her. Billy, who if she was completely honest with herself, she rather liked too.

And she’d ended up stuck in the middle, trapped between two men who so obviously hated one another.

Penny thought that being in the middle sucked.

But then somehow she’d ended up here, lying naked in bed with Captain Hammer kissing her passionately, his strong arms wrapped around her waist; whilst Billy curled around her back, nuzzling the nape of her neck as one hand traced interesting patterns on the bare skin of her inner thigh.

Maybe they didn’t hate each other so much after all.

As Captain Hammer leant across her to capture Billy’s lips with his, and Billy responded by tangling his free hand in the other man’s hair and sliding his other hand further up Penny’s leg, Penny reflected that maybe being in the middle wasn’t so bad after all.

So, I don't know how I feel about Hammer / Horrible. I've kind of fallen away from slash over the years...
Yeah, I didn't ship them at all at first, but since being in the fandom (and seeing the Emmy short) I ship them like there's no tomorrow xD

I cannot see Penny doing this.
Haha same, that's why I labeled it as crack. Although having said that, Penny doesn't get as much characterisation as the men in the film, so for all we know she may be a sex-mad kinky nympho. It's always the quiet ones... ;)
