It seemed like the perfect story at first. She just wished that Billy didn’t hate Captain Hammer, but when she heard him mocking Billy, boasting that she was his, she understood.

Later, when Dr. Horrible interrupted the shelter dedication, when she realised that her sweet laundry buddy was a villain, she saw the terrible lengths the hero had pushed him to.

And when the shards of metal tore into her stomach, when Captain Hammer left her to die, she saw in Billy’s eyes how her life could’ve been.

She never thought a hero would compromise her for some personal vendetta.
